The Project

Fiordland Link Experience will capture the very essence of "Pure New Zealand" — glacial lakes, beech forest, mountain vistas, tussock grasslands, backcountry rivers and high country farmland — in a journey between Queenstown and Lake Te Anau, without encroaching on the pristine wilderness of Fiordland National Park.

The three purpose-built forms of transport used on the journey — cataraman, all-terrain vehicle and monorail — are designed for maximum experience with minimal impact as visitors are introduced to the stunning landscape and natural environment between Queenstown and Lake Te Anau.

It will enable visitors to the region to experience, in an intimate way, parts of New Zealand they may otherwise never see, thereby fulfilling the "Pure New Zealand" promise without compromising areas of cultural and environmental significance.

Fiordland Link Experience will create real benefits for its local communities and for New Zealand while operating in a way that is sustainable for both the environment and the tourism industry.
